1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Cherry Terminal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What Cherry Terminal Is

Cherry Terminal is a local-first portfolio monitoring tool. It lets you manually record current holdings, average purchase prices, cash, and watchlist items; request market quotes; convert currencies; and calculate portfolio values and P&L in your browser. You may also download local JSON backups and CSV exports. Cherry Terminal is not a brokerage, exchange, custodian, bank, investment adviser, tax adviser, legal adviser, accounting service, or regulated financial service.

3. No Investment Advice

Cherry Terminal does not provide investment, financial, trading, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Nothing in the app is a recommendation, research report, rating, offer, or solicitation to buy, sell, hold, or otherwise transact in any instrument. You are solely responsible for your own decisions and should consult qualified professionals when needed.

4. Market Data

Security quotes, history, and symbol search results are sourced from Yahoo Finance public endpoints. Metadata may also use OpenFIGI and public SEC EDGAR data. Delayed US fund look-through values are derived from quarterly SEC Form N-PORT datasets and reflect information as filed by each fund. Currency rates are sourced from Frankfurter, with a Yahoo fallback for unavailable currencies. Company images are requested from Financial Modeling Prep only for selected or displayed securities. These third-party sources may change or become unavailable. Market data is provided as-is and may be delayed, stale, incomplete, inaccurate, rate limited, or temporarily unavailable. Cherry Terminal does not warrant the accuracy, timeliness, availability, or completeness of any market data displayed.

5. Calculations And User Inputs

Portfolio values, P&L, position weights, and currency conversions depend on the holdings, quantities, costs, symbols, display currency, and other information you enter, plus third-party market data. You are responsible for verifying all inputs, outputs, and calculations before relying on them. Cherry Terminal is not intended for trading execution, tax filing, accounting, regulatory reporting, audit, or formal valuation purposes.

6. Local Storage And Exports

Cherry Terminal stores portfolio data, preferences, cached prices, and FX rates in your browser's IndexedDB storage. Cherry Terminal does not maintain a server-side copy of your portfolio data and cannot recover data that you delete, overwrite, lose by clearing browser storage, or fail to back up. Use Backup & Restore if you need a restorable JSON copy. CSV holdings exports are generated locally and cannot be imported to restore app data.

7. Acceptable Use

• Use the app only for lawful portfolio monitoring and related personal recordkeeping.
• Do not use the app to make automated, abusive, excessive, or unlawful requests to third-party data services.
• Do not attempt to compromise, overload, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to the app, its hosting infrastructure, or related services.
• Do not remove legal notices, misuse Cherry Terminal branding, or use the app in a way that violates another party's rights.

8. Service Availability

Cherry Terminal is provided free of charge. The app, features, data sources, hosting, or public URLs may be changed, limited, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. No uptime, support, maintenance, data retention, or service-level commitment is provided.

9. Third-Party Services And Links

The app may rely on or link to third-party services, including Yahoo Finance, OpenFIGI, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Frankfurter, Financial Modeling Prep, and Cloudflare. Those services are governed by their own terms, policies, limits, and availability. Cherry Terminal is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Yahoo, Cloudflare, or any exchange or market data provider.

10. Intellectual Property

Cherry Terminal's application code, interface, branding, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party data, names, marks, and content remain the property of their respective owners. These Terms do not grant you any rights in third-party market data or trademarks.

11. Disclaimer Of Warranties

The app is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all such warranties are excluded.

12. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cherry Terminal shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, financial, investment, trading, tax, data loss, lost profit, or business interruption loss arising from or related to your use of, reliance on, or inability to use the app or any data or calculations it displays. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

13. Consumer Rights

If mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction grants you rights that conflict with these Terms, those rights prevail to the extent of the conflict. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit non-waivable rights that apply to you.

14. Changes

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
